As the world's largest manufacturer of corrosion test equipment, Auto Technology Company understands the importance of keeping items free from the harmful effects of corrosion. Although you may have working knowledge of the hazards of corrosion and its effects, you may not know how to conduct corrosion testing or operate equipment.
This is why for the last 18 years, we have offered twice-yearly workshops to the public, to assist anyone interested in learning how to properly conduct tests and operate equipment. More than 1,500 people have attended our classes over the years, providing expert instruction to those in the industry wishing to learn about auto corrosion testing.
We offer two classes that will leave personnel with a solid understanding of corrosion testing and equipment operation.
- Understanding & Performing Salt Fog Corrosion Testing offers a hands-on learning experience where attendees will learn about chamber installation, functioning and maintenance in addition to an understanding of the ASTM B117 standard. They will also have the opportunity to lean about calibration and troubleshooting, maintenance and test sample evaluation.
- Understanding and Performing Cyclic Corrosion Testing teaches attendees about Cycle Testing, where they will learn how to interrupt Cyclic Corrosion Test standards. Additionally, students will learn how to program a cyclic test into a control chamber, how to interpret a cyclic test, how to prepare solutions and other important information about current standards and other test methods.
The workshops take place every year during April and November, and are taught by Auto Technology President Kevin Smith. They are one day long, beginning at 9:00 AM and ending at 3:00 PM at Auto Technology's offices and labs in Ohio.
