Description

720500 – OUTPUT, PRES. TRANSDUCER, 4-20MA – Works with all Harshaw, Engelhard, Atotech USA, Atlas and Auto Technology Company fog and cyclic corrosion test chambers. PURPOSE: The purpose of the Pressure Transducer is to measure the pressure of the compressed air at the top of the Bubble Tower and sending this reading to the cabinet controls in the form of a 4-20 mA signal, measuring up to 30 PSI. LOCATION: The pressure transducer is located in the right side wall of the control cabinet near the air blower. It is found by removing the front access panel on the control cabinet. When removed the pressure transducer is visible. It is located on the right side wall of the control cabinet. FUNCTION: When the bubble tower air is activated, compressed air passes through the bubble tower and goes out at the top of the tower. At the top of the tower, a “T” connector, tubing and fittings deliver this air to the atomizer nozzle as well as the air inlet side of the pressure transducer. The pressure transducer reads the pressure and converts it to an electrical signal. This 4-20mA electrical signal is sent to the cabinet controls and is converted to a digital signal on the computer screen.
